Wissenschaft Party (update I)

Since my Wissenschaft units have grown in number since my first Wissenschaft Party post, it was high time to do another!

With the 9 units here, that comes to 400-420 Levels, plus whatever Summon is chosen for Valis Ul Del Vilfain. Not really enough to field 500 Levels yet (allowing 2 Leaders; Valis is an Optional Leader for +5 Levels), so I think if I was going 'big' it would be for a 400 Level game, which would allow 2 Organization Advantages to be taken.

A 400 level list I would choose would likely be:
Organization Advantages: The Process; Lost Loggia
XII (60 Levels) - Piercing Weapons (5 Levels); Primal (5 Levels)
Lorenzo (45 Levels) - Orb of Power (5 Levels); Nephiros (5 Levels)
Rayne (45 Levels) - Clock of Cronos (5 Levels); Elemental Weapon (5 Levels)
Alessa Raincross (40 levels) - Supernatural Weapon (10 Levels); Gnose (5 Levels)
Kira (40 Levels) - Gnose (5 Levels)
Valis Ul Del Vilfain (55 Levels) - Familiar (10 Levels); Supernatural Devourer (5 Levels)
+ Summon Hamadria (Greater) (25 levels)
+Summon Wrath of Nature (Greater) (50 Levels)
Wissenschaft Agent (40 Levels) - Elemental Weapon (5 Levels); Piercing Weapons (5 Levels)
Team Assault Group (5 Levels)

There is a little bit of compromise there (taking the Agent), but the list includes Team Assault Group, which means that for a small outlay 3 units gain bonus abilities.

At 300 levels I would choose something like:
Organization Advantage: Lost Loggia
XII (60 Levels) - Piercing Weapons (5 Levels); Primal (5 Levels)
Lorenzo (45 Levels) - Orb of Power (5 Levels); Nephiros (5 Levels)
Rayne (45 Levels) - Clock of Cronos (5 Levels); Elemental Weapon (5 Levels)
Valis Ul Del Vilfain (55 Levels) - Familiar (10 Levels); Supernatural Devourer (5 Levels)
+Summon Wrath of Nature (Greater) (50 Levels)
Celia (45 Levels) - Clock of Cronos (5 Levels); Piercing Weapons (5 Levels)
Team Assault Group (5 Levels)

Black Sun Party (Update I)

Well, with 3 more Black Sun units than the last post had, I thought it time for an update.

If I was making a Party out of this group, I would take all except Styx. The list would be:

That makes 290 Levels of units, so not an 'efficient' list. Elite Squadron would be a must have Advantage Card, along with Power Source, and most likely Supernatural Weapon (Clover) and Piercing Weapon (Kingsley Warlock).

More likely I think I need to rethink and replace units, maybe dropping one of the Type-005's or the Type-004: Hellhound, perhaps swapping one of them for Arkham or a Level 35 Type-020: Verrier. Or perhaps dropping Kingsley Warlock and taking a Level 55 Raziel Archetypum. I suspect that I really need more choices to make the best use of the cheap grunts.

Empire Party

I finally have 5 Empire units finished after Sho was recently completed. With the price updates, and assuming a maximum Level Empire Agent, this Party would only come to 215 Levels, so would still need something like Cenette and Drake (as Team The Condemned Lovers) or Kagemaru and a 25-30 Level Dark Summon to be legally fielded as a 300 Level Organization Party.

In a nutshell then, it is quite a limited selection, and the number and choice of units probably needs to be expanded if I am to get best use out of Empire; but then we have only really played Church and Wissenschaft so far, so time will tell on that front. Still, hopefully I will get a game or two in with them before too long.

Wanderers

Wanderers offer an interesting and useful array of options when building a Party.

For those unfamiliar with the game, there are two ways to build a Party: either by following a Faction (Light or Dark - all units mus be of the same Faction, but may include Neutral units also; or by opting to make an Organization Party. The latter option gives extra bonuses at the cost of greater restriction of units to select from, especially as each Organization tends to specialize, therefore certain deficits exist for each Organization.

When making an Organization Party you are entitled to include a single Wanderer (or Wanderer Team) and still benefit from Organizational Advantages. Therefore Wanderers allow specific deficits to be mitigated to some extent; a Party lacking high Armour might benefit from including Faust Orbatos; a force needing some hard-hitting power may find it useful to include Dereck Shezard; a Party wanting increased utility options might want to take Bella and Aqua. There are a number of Wanderers, and each tends to offer some unique options that may not be replicated in Organization units.

Prior to the Anima Tactics Update 2013 posted by Anima Studios/Cipher Studios (see post here), I had an array of options to fill gaps at 45, 55, 60, 65, and 95 Levels, and had a whole paragraph written about it (hey, it is almost like this blogging malarkey is planned!). After the update, I have a smaller array of slots my Wanderers allow me to fill with 40,45,60 and 90 Levels, so some flexibility has been compromised. For those unfamiliar with the game, a Team such as Team The Condemned Lovers (Drake and Cenette) or Team Bella and Aqua counts as a single 'slot'.

Black Sun Party

Another Party post, this time to pull together those Black Sun units I have been painting recently.

The most likely configurations for the Type-005's will be Type-005A: Assault for 25 Levels each, with the Type-009 upgraded to a Commander for 35 Levels. With Clover and Kingsley Warlock, that comes to 230 Levels. To use those 3 Type-005's I need another 70 Levels  of units, which could be something like Dereck Shezard (for 295 Levels), but more likely means I need one or two Black Sun units to get there; Deimon and a Type-004: Hellhound would fit the bill perfectly, or Promethea and Styx for 295 levels. but whether I manage to focus my painting is another matter entirely!

This Party does not feature Styx as that unit really needs Promethea to be effective, or the Type-004: Hellhound since I want to paint one more fitting to my Black Sun.

Church Party

Click on me
Hot on the heels of my Wissenschaft Party post, here is my other (so far) 5 unit Organization Party.

This collection of Church units comprises 220 Levels, or 225 if Lostaroth Marchosias is used as an Optional Leader.

Right now the only real option I have to expand this to 300 Levels with what I have already is a combination of Wanderer and Summons, or to take an Advantage Card to boost Sarah Reindhold's Summoner Level to 2 and take a couple of Summons (I currently have 3 combinations of 75 Levels of Summons).

Therefore there is probably a greater need to fill out those 75-80 Levels for Church more than Wissenschaft right now.

Wissenschaft Party

If you click I will grow
I plan to post Organization Party pictures every so often, when I get five or more painted for a specific Organization, and then maybe every two to three models hereafter.

First up is Wissenschaft. These models amount to 240 Levels, or 245 if Valis Ul Del Vilfain is used as an Optional Leader. I think games tend to be played at multiples of 100 Levels since many Party-building benefits kick in at those thresholds. So with these 5 units, I would be looking to add either a 55 Level Wanderer (Bella and Aqua are a good fit since as a Team they count as just a single Wanderer choice), or 55 Levels of Summons (maybe Lesser Hamadria and Elhaym, Maiden of Light). As my collection grows, there will be more options to bolster their ranks.
